"Here we are in this teeny office tucked away\, and in the past five years we have awarded more than half-a-million dollars to people for their pets in need. We have helped more than 600 pets so we have a lot of stories to tell!"\n\n \n\nKlein said the organization moved into the small office just before COVID hit and shut everything down\, thus making it hard for the community to find it and learn about its mission. And since the Foundation helps pets in all of Monterey County\, she felt that having a joint ribbon-cutting event would help spread the word.\n\n \n\nThe event will feature music\, appetizers and wines and other beverages\, a raffle and a chance to meet the staff\, board members and volunteers. The mayors of Monterey and Carmel will be in attendance.
