Description
VNA and Hospice Giving Foundation will host open space for conversations about dying at their next Death Café event on Monday, September 21 at 5:30pm. Death can be a difficult conversation to have, which is why Death Cafes are popping up all over the world. They aim to make conversations about death more open. Death Cafes breathe life into conversations about dying. This discussion can range from the experience of losing loved ones to the fear of dying, from the ethics of euthanasia to personal beliefs about life after death, from what we would like our legacy to be to how those we leave behind will remember us. We invite you to come together with others to share your stories and feelings, to listen, to accept and know you are not alone. A Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief-support or counseling session. This Death Cafe is facilitated by Philip Geiger, Outreach Manager, Hospice Giving Foundation, and Ed Horsley, M.Div., Chaplain, Bereavement Coordinator, Central Coast VNA & Hospice. Advance registration is required at https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZckdOCtqD4qH9fSf7PFZMrru5tuNAqAq4X9 Contact: Phil Geiger Outreach Manager Hospice Giving Foundation (831) 333-9023 x12 Ed Horsley, M.Dov., Chaplain, Bereavement Coordinator VNA (831) 241-8423
