Back in 2019, Sarah Cook seized an opportunity of a lifetime by moving her family from the shores of England to Carmel to take over an iconic cafe.

Four years later, we will take time to celebrate both Café Carmel and National Bake Week (April 3-9).

And you are invited to join us!

It is our honor to keep alive a tradition that dates back to 1952, when the Wishart family opened a bakery in the now-historic 1920s building.

On Thursday, April 6 from 5-7 p.m., we will host a joint ribbon-cutting ceremony with both Carmel and Monterey Peninsula chambers of commerce. Mingle with our close-knit cafe community and enjoy complimentary tastings of baked goods. Please join us in the heart of Carmel for a look back in time and a celebration of a sweet future!
