MPRPD is dedicated to the protection and preservation of parks and open space for public benefit. The Park District has preserved more than 20,000 acres of park and open space on the Monterey Peninsula. Its showcase properties include Garland Ranch and Laguna Grande Regional Parks, Monterey Bay Coastal Trail and Palo Corona Regional Park.
