About Us

The Carmel Foundation’s mission is to facilitate successful aging by providing a multitude of programs designed to help our seniors thrive. For 74 years, the Carmel Foundation has provided a place to call home for adults 55 and older who live throughout the Peninsula. With a current membership of over 2700, the Foundation provides members opportunities to enjoy over 60 classes and activities per week which include exercise classes, presentations, discussion groups, card games, art classes, movies and much more. The Foundation offers 3 meal programs which provide our members the opportunity to eat lunch with friends in a group setting, pick up lunches curbside, or for those who may not have the ability to come to the campus, have them delivered directly to their homes – all at affordable prices. The Foundation offers a Mobility Equipment Loan Program, a Housing Program for low-income seniors and a Support Service Director to help guide members to services they might need. With a current membership of over 2700 people, The Carmel Foundation’s programs help our seniors not only stay engaged but also stay connected with others.
