About Us

For over 50 years, Youth Music Monterey has provided exceptional music education and performance opportunities for thousands of Monterey County youth. Each season, approximately 300-400 students from our Junior Youth and Honors Orchestras, Chamber Players, Brass & Woodwind Ensembles, Orchestra in the Schools, and South County Strings programs are helped by YMM’s outstanding teaching staff to prepare for over 30 concerts throughout Monterey County. These performances are enjoyed by over 7,000-8,000 individual audience members each season.
