The World Affairs Council of the Monterey Bay will be hosting another Lecture Luncheon with the topic being "2024- The Historic Year of Elections Worldwide: How Well Did Democracy Do?" The speaker, Dr. Larry Diamond, is an American political sociologist and leading contemporary scholar in the field of democracy studies. Dr. Diamond has served as an advisor to numerous governmental and international organizations including the U.S. Department of State, United Nations, World Bank, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
