About Us

Bethlehem Lutheran Church was started in Pafic Grove in 1925 and moved to its current Monterey location in 1959. The parish has been involved in the community by helping to start I-HELP as well as the chaplaincy program at CHOMP. Currently, Bethlehem is the only religious institution in Monterey officially a member of the up-and-coming Blue Zones Project. The church is also in its second year of classical school ministry (starting the Classical Christian Academy of Monterey Bay in 2021). Although it is a small institution compared to most, Bethlehem is full of members with strong hearts and influence hoping to benefit the world around them.
