About Us

Hospice Giving Foundation believes our community deserves the most dignified and best quality end-of-life care. As an independent grant-making foundation, we support this vision by awarding grants to qualified 501(c)3 organizations providing end-of-life services in Monterey and San Benito Counties. Since 1997, Hospice Giving Foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $24 million.

Local needs and emerging healthcare advances guide our funding decisions. Hospice Giving Foundation funds hospice care, palliative care, and programs which advocate for system-wide improvements. We fund grief and bereavement services; specialized care for terminally ill children and their families; and care for those afflicted with terminal conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease. Hospice Giving Foundation encourages innovative approaches to expanding end-of-life care in our community. To that end, we conduct and support outreach and education so families can plan for end-of-life and learn about the resources available to them.

The Foundation supports and encourages thoughtful dialogue about dignified family- and patient-centered end-of-life care. Through our grants and outreach, Hospice Giving Foundation gives voice to a difficult topic that affects us all. Our commitment is to ensure the needed services are available throughout our community; for all in our community.
