About Us

Founded in 1980, Monterey Peninsula Engineering (MPE) is a family owned general engineering contractor. MPE headquartered in Marina and has operations in Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito and Santa Clara Counties. MPE performs both public and private work and specializes in grading, paving, excavation, site work, and the installation of underground utilities such as water, storm, and sewer infrastructure.

Paul Bruno, CFO/Principal, is responsible for community relations. He serves in various capacities on local boards and committees, including the Monterey County Republican Party, Carmel River Watershed Conservancy, Seaside Groundwater Basin Watermaster, Monterey Peninsula Taxpayers Association, Monterey Bay Action Committee PAC, and the MPWMD Ord 152 Citizen’s Oversight Committee.
