About Us

The mission of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District is to Sustainably manage and augment the water resources of the Monterey Peninsula to meet the needs of its residents and businesses while protecting, restoring, and enhancing its natural and human environments.

A California special district governed by a seven-member Board of Directors, the MPWMD encompasses six Monterey Peninsula cites, the Monterey Peninsula Airport District and portions of unincorporated Monterey County. Refer to http://www.mpwmd.net/ and http://www.purewatermonterey.org.
