About Us
Hygge (n). (Danish).
1. The good feeling you get when you're enjoying the good things in life with friends.
Vagabond (n).
1. Of, related to, or characteristic of, wandering.
Nestled in the village center, our charming brick and half-timbered English Tudor style inn has beckoned artists, writers, hikers, business people and luxury traveler seekers since the early 1930’s.
Our casually elegant modern rooms are designed with your comfort in mind and creatively include references to the arts of our history. Our Superior King rooms offer hardwood or 100% wool floors, bathrooms with heated marble floors, double vanities, central soaking tub and separate large marble shower. All our rooms offer a large Smart tv to stream your Bluetooth movies or enjoy our Dish HDTV or NetFlix.
Come to our 4-6 pm social hour to drink California wines and recline by the fire pit in our peaceful courtyard where you can chat with fellow vagabond travelers.
We offer complimentary espresso, latte, macchiato, flat white and other coffee drinks prepared with Chromatic Coffee beans which are roasted weekly for us in nearby Mill Valley.
Our Spa Studio is open only to the guest of our inn and offers relaxation, aromatherapy and many modalities for massage and bodywork. We offer salt scrubs, clay and seaweed treatments that we can customize with a wide selection of essential oils.
Delivered to your room each morning, our breakfast begins with local Farmer’s Market eggs and fruits, house made jams and croissants, local Carmel honey. Our granola is prepared locally, and we offer gluten free options.
You can relax with confidence in the detailed service of our staff.
The Vagabond’s House always feels like home.
