About Us

York School is an award-winning, private, coed college-prep school for grades 8-12 located in Monterey, California, that has inspired bright, kind, curious and driven students since 1959. We offer an academically challenging experiential program which develops confident and authentic leaders in an inclusive, diverse community. Located on a Sunny Hilltop, York’s 100+ acre, park-like campus overlooks the rolling hills of Monterey, and serves 180 students who join us from public and independent middle schools in Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties as well as around the world.
