Dr. Derek Barkalow was born and raised on the Monterey Peninsula. While traveling extensively during his college and graduate school years, he always maintained a focus on returning home. Dr. Derek always wanted to contribute to the health and well-being of those around him and, after various work experiences, his path led him to pursue his doctorate in chiropractic like his father, Dr. Stephen Barkalow.  Dr Derek received his undergraduate and Master’s degrees in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. He attended Loyola Marymount University Los Angeles for his Pre-medical Post-baccalaureate, St George Medical School for the first 18 months of his training and then received his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA.
